Home Visits

Home visits are reserved for patients who are truly housebound or so incapacitated that they cannot be brought to the surgery.

Home visits are based on medical need.

Please telephone for a home visit before 11.00am.

In almost all cases children can safely be brought to the surgery where we need the best conditions for examination. If you come to the surgery during normal hours (or to the emergency centre during out-of-hours) you will be seen, treated and if necessary referred more quickly. This allows you doctor to work more effectively to help you now and in the future.

There is always a doctor on call. If you need a doctor urgently at any time please telephone the surgery on 0151 944 1066 or NHS 111 on 111.

Out of hours cover is provided by out GP Co-operative (Sefdoc) and is operated by local GPs. The out of hours clinic is at Sefton Road Family Health Clinic, 67 Sefton Road, Litherland and is by appointment only.

We ask that requests for such visits are made only in the case of genuinely urgent medical need, as the doctors do the out of hours work in addition to their working day.©
