Repeat Prescriptions
Please note only medicines that are currently on your repeat prescription form can be ordered in this way.
Please give 48 hours (2 working days) notice for repeat prescriptions. Please note that if you are ordering your repeat prescription on Friday afternoon, Saturday, Sunday or a Bank Holiday it will not be processed until the next working day, from which you will still need to allow 48 hours (2 working days) before collection.
Prescriptions can be ordered in writing using the order slip on the right side of your prescription, by letter, online or using the slips available at reception.
You may arrange for a local Pharmacy to collect your prescription.
If you wish your prescription to be posted please provide a stamped addressed envelope with your request.
We do not accept telephone requests for repeat prescriptions. Please do not telephone with you requests as this blocks the telephone lines and there is potential for error.
Get your repeat prescriptions re-authorised online
Sometimes getting to the surgery to request a repeat prescription is not practical, so we have an online service you may use to request a repeat prescription of a drug which has been set up by your doctor for repeat prescribing.
Please note, drugs which have not been set up for repeat, which were given for a single episode of illness, or which need review cannot be supplied in this way. Remember, we need 48 working hours to process your request. Prescriptions can be collected from reception (unless you submit a stamped-addressed envelope that can be used to return it to you). If you don't want to use the online form please write to us or drop in and use one of the repeat request forms available at reception instead.
By registering for this service you will also have access to Appointments online.
We would like to remind patients that the website enquiry or email address function is not to be used for medical information or consultation. The main reason for this is that we cannot guarantee the timeliness of response to such enquiries due to the nature of working schedules. If you wish to send medical information to your GP or nurse, please use the various options we offer: via appointment, telephone or in writing.
**Please note, by registering for this service and providing us with your email address, this is taken as consent for us to contact you using this method of communication.**
